Heads up: I'll be off of dA for about... three weeks or so...? Maybe a month? AP testing and finals are coming up, so I'm puttin' personal art aside for a while; once I'm back, though, you can definitely look forward to a lot of junk from me!

And I've got something kind of personal to add, too. I posted a while ago my application to CSSSA, a summer art program at CalArts, and about two weeks ago I figured out I was wait-listed for the program. I've been really rocked by that whole situation; my hopes and dreams and confidence have been... just shattered lately, ha. I keep pretending to be happy, and all that pretending is completely draining me.

But.

When one door closes, another opens. I'm not down and out for the count... at least, not yet. And I just want to let EVERYONE who's EVER looked at one of my silly comics or said a kind word about my simple pictures... Thank you. Thank you so much. I really would not be the artist I am today without your encouragement and amazing support. If I ever do reach my dreams--if I ever do see my drawings come to life upon a screen, if I ever do tell the world a story worth hearing--it's all because of you.
